The Challenge
I was in every ad account, every day. To grow, I needed someone I could trust with the execution so I could focus on strategy and our clients

Founder
Southern California Paid Media Agency
The agency built its reputation on senior, hands-on attention to every account. As its client roster grew, that model put most of the execution on the founder: building campaigns, testing creatives, adjusting budgets, and preparing performance reports across several ad platforms.
To keep growing without diluting quality, the agency needed a full-time media buyer who could build and manage campaigns, spot strong creatives, and report on results with a data-driven mindset.
Hiring locally was not a realistic answer. Experienced media buyers in Southern California are expensive and in high demand, and a small agency could not compete with larger shops on local salaries. Meanwhile, every hour the founder spent on execution was an hour away from strategy and clients.
The Approach
The agency found Wow Remote Teams through an online search and shared a clear brief for a full-time Media Buyer: someone proactive, data-driven, creative, and comfortable owning results.
Wow presented a short list of screened candidates, and the founder interviewed them directly. Within about 2 to 3 weeks, the agency had its hire.
At the center of this story is a media buyer from Colombia with hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid social campaigns for e-commerce brands, plus storefront management and a degree in international business. She communicates in advanced English and joined the team in December 2025.
Working full-time, she took ownership of building and launching campaigns across paid social and search, daily optimization and budget pacing, creative testing, and KPI reporting on click-through rate, cost per acquisition, and return on ad spend.
With Colombia two to three hours ahead of Pacific Time, she shares more than six hours of the agency’s working day. She reports directly to the founder, who meets with her regularly to review accounts and priorities.
She doesn’t just run campaigns. She’s proactive, she brings ideas, and she’s helping us build the processes we need to grow

The Outcome
It’s a growing company, so some processes still aren’t fully standardized, but I’m happy to help however I can and contribute a lot

Media Buyer
Based in Colombia
About ten months later, the media buyer is a stable, trusted part of the team.
Campaign builds, daily optimizations, and performance reporting now have a dedicated owner. The founder no longer has to execute every change himself and can spend more of his time on strategy, client relationships, and growth.
She has also gone beyond her core tasks. In a growing agency where some processes are still being standardized, she has been proactive about helping build better ways of working, and the founder has stayed open to her ideas and guidance.
For the agency, that means more capacity without giving up the hands-on quality its clients expect
