The Challenge

He has been steadily expanding his task list while continuing to develop his social media skills

Marketing Specialist

Texas Law Firm

The firm wanted to reach a younger generation of Texas professionals, people early in their careers who get their information on short-form video and social feeds, not from traditional legal marketing. Reaching them meant showing up consistently across six social platforms, from professional networks to short-form video apps, with content that felt credible and approachable at the same time.

That is a demanding mix for a small marketing team. Daily posting, short-form video, graphics, captions, community engagement, and monthly reporting were all falling on the firm’s marketing staff, alongside campaigns, blogs, and newsletters. What the team was missing was someone who natively understood Gen Z audiences and could produce creative at that pace.

Finding that person locally was not simple. The firm needed a part-time hire with real creative and video skills, a feel for younger audiences, and the judgment to keep a law firm’s tone professional, a combination that is hard to find for a part-time role.

The Approach

The firm found Wow Remote Teams through an online search and shared its goal for a part-time Social Media Marketing Assistant focused on Gen Z: strong organic social experience, a working knowledge of paid boosting and audiences, a solid foundation in short-form video, and the grit to learn alongside the team.

Wow sent a range of candidates at different experience levels, so the firm could see what each level would bring before deciding. After interviews, the firm selected its hire, who started in December 2025.

At the center of this story is a social media specialist from Mexico with more than 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation, and degrees in both communication and dramatic arts. That background shows up in his work: video editing, scriptwriting, design, and copywriting, plus hands-on use of AI content tools to brainstorm and refine ideas while keeping the brand voice consistent.

He drafts, designs, and schedules daily content across six platforms, from reels and short videos to graphics and captions, and helps build community by engaging with professional associations and organizations in the firm’s key sectors. He works closely with the firm’s Marketing Specialist, who sets priorities and connects his work to the firm’s campaigns, podcast, and newsletters.

Because Mexico and Texas share the same working hours, every one of his part-time hours falls inside the firm’s day, so questions get answered and content gets approved without delays.

He also has a solid understanding of the platforms and behaviors of younger professional audiences

The Outcome

We appreciate the value he is already bringing to the team and are happy to be working with him

The fit showed up fast. At the two-week mark, the firm described his performance as strong and consistent with his experience, noting that he was quick to learn, easy to work with, and brought up-to-date knowledge of tools that slotted right into existing processes.

More importantly, he brought what the firm had been missing: a solid understanding of the platforms and behaviors of younger professional audiences, giving the team a clear path to stronger engagement with that group.

By the three-month mark, he had been steadily expanding his task list as he learned the firm’s workflows, and the firm was already exploring more hours for the role.

Ten months in, the firm has a consistent social presence across six channels, and its marketing staff can focus on strategy and campaigns instead of producing every post themselves.

They said “We’re pleased with the progress he has made so far and look forward to seeing how he continues to grow in the role.”

“Working with Wow has probably been the smoothest experience out of all the firms we’ve worked with. Statistically, we’re running about one hire for every 100 applicants we touch. That allows us to make quick decisions early and spend real time with the right people.”
